SoundSpa® Digital FM Clock Radio with Time Projection is rated out of 5 by 75.Rated 4 out of 5 by Tommy E. from Homedics Sound Machine/Radio I ordered this online and received it in about a week. I sleep with a fan on all year and wanted something that would make a similar sound or maybe other sounds that would aid the wife and I in our sleep environment. So far this has been a welcome addition to our bedroom. It's small so it's easy to place almost anywhere. It has various sounds but we settled on the fan sound probably because that's what we are used to. I like the fact that it has a radio and can project the time on the ceiling if you want it to. If it had the ability for preset radio stations and a light dimming feature for the unit display I would have give it five stars. I still think it is a nice little unit and we are very pleased with it.Date published: 2017-01-06Rated 3 out of 5 by Karen C. from Not what I had hoped for Although this is handy as a combination alarm clock/noise machine, there are definitely features I'm not happy with. Mostly, I don't like that the white noise shuts off (!) when the alarm goes off. It functions as either one or the other. Second, the control buttons are all on top, which is convenient, but are all so smooth and close together, it's nearly impossible to find the right one(s) to push in the dark. Finally, even on the dimmest setting, the blue glow that emits from the face casts a glow across the whole room and is blinding if you're looking directly at it.Date published: 2017-01-06Rated 5 out of 5 by John H. from Great clock This clock is a good buy - I love the nature sounds that wake me up, much better than the usual buzzer or radio. It also has two alarms that you can pre-program, and a backup battery that will keep the clock on if the power goes out. I don't know how long this battery would last, though, if the power went out. It's one of the small round watch batteries, and if you had the light projecting clock on the ceiling or the lighted display on, the battery might not last all night after the power goes out. Also, there's no way to know when the battery is going to die, so I guess you just have to change it every 6 months or so. It's a good clock all in all, though, and it looks nice visually/designed wellDate published: 2016-06-29Rated 4 out of 5 by Kat B. from Nice gentle wake-up I have had this alarm clock for over a year and it works great. Nice sounds, easy operation. Two things are not great, first, the projection is really, really bright, it lights up the whole bedroom so I turned it off. The second is that now they have clocks that you can program 7 days a week, so on days you don't work, your alarm doesn't go off. I would like that option so the dogs sleep in too!! I don't want a clock to hook up to my phone, and leave my cell in the kitchen at night. Thanks for having an alarm clock that's just an alarm clock!Date published: 2017-04-10Rated 1 out of 5 by es245 from 2 problems 1) Too bright! Keeps me awake at night. 2) After using this for less than a month, I noticed black splotches appearing over the numbers where the time was projected on the ceiling. They would appear randomly, covering the numerals, then disappear and come back a few minutes later...all night! There was nothing on the lens cover or ceiling to cause this. The lens cover appears to have water droplets inside. I purchased this machine at Bed, Bath & Beyond on July 13, 2015.Date published: 2015-08-06Rated 4 out of 5 by SuzieMac from Extra sounds improvement over old model I stayed at a friends house and a Homedics radio was in her guestroom. I enjoyed the soothing sounds and timer to help fall off to sleep. It inspired me to buy one of these or my new home. I am pleased to see that there are two extra "sounds" to select from, one of which is "white noise". I look forward to using it. The only negative, I wish it weren't white in color. Hers was a metallic grey and that is preferable and goes with any room decor. It also doesn't show the dirt or discolor eventually as white radios seem to.Date published: 2016-03-05Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Bring back the old model. Bring back the old model. The design of this one stepped back in time 20 years.Date published: 2015-04-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Kristen S. from Easy to operate & works great! I bought one of these for my 10 yr old daughter's room because she had difficulty falling asleep. She enjoys the variety of sounds and the ease of use in setting the alarm etc... I have now purchased a 2nd one for my 15 yr old daughter who just needed an alarm clock (we don't allow her phone in her room). I chose this one because it is so simple to use. Although she does not have sleep problems, she is really enjoying the sounds to listen to while falling asleep.Date published: 2016-09-29

I can't remember how to set the current time on my sound machine Model SS-4520.Setting Clock Time Press and hold (3 seconds) the TIME SET button on back of unit (Fig. 2), the hour will begin to flash. Select the hour using the VOLUME buttons on the top to adjust the hour (when in 12 hour mode remember to set correct AM/PM, a “PM” icon will be displayed) (Fig. 1), press TIME SET button again to select the minute using the VOLUME buttons on top again to adjust. Press TIME SET button again, now time is set. NOTE: After time is set, press TIME SET button again and use the VOLUME button to select 12 or 24 hour format.Date published: 2018-05-02
