Why does the mist start and then stop?
The diffuser is designed to mist and pause at different times based on the intensity setting you choose. The unit does not mist continuously.
The display light keeps turning off.
The diffuser is designed so all display lights turn off after 60 seconds. The diffuser is still working even when the lights are off. To turn the lights on, press any button on the diffuser or remote.
9 intermittent mist and pause intensity settings.
There are 9 mist intensity levels, 1 being the least intense and 9 being the most intense. Adjust mist intensity to a higher or lower intensity level based on preference.
What is the difference between level 1 intensity and level 9 intensity?
When the diffuser is set at level 1, it will release mist for a short amount of time and then take a long pause. When the diffuser is set at level 9, it will release mist for a longer amount of time and take a shorter pause. The unit does not mist continuously.
Little to no mist is coming out.
The atomization head is blocked. Clean diffuser by following the cleaning instructions in the Instruction Booklet. Pump is damaged and may need replacing. For replacement, contact Consumer Relations at cservice@homedics.com or 888-843-3905
My diffuser is not diffusing.
Make sure the power is ON.
If there is still no diffusion or it is weak, remove the oil bottle. Fill the empty bottle that came with diffuser with rubbing alcohol and run it through the diffuser for 5 minutes.
Oil is leaking from my diffuser.
The oil bottle is loose. Screw it in straight or check to make sure the seal is not broken or missing.
My diffuser is spraying liquid.
Make sure the diffuser is always sitting vertical.
My diffuser is making a strange sound.
The pump is loose or damaged. Tighten the pump or contact Consumer Relations for replacement.
Can other product refills be used in the SereneScent Diffuser?
Your diffuser will only work properly when using SereneScent oils. Use of any other oil is not recommended and will void diffuser warranty.
How long does a refill last?
SereneScent 120 ml oil lasts up to 30 days.*
*30 days of operation at 8 hours per day and middle intensity level 5.
