Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the zen sound, but everything else is just OK We went to a hotel that had this and loved the zen sound so much we had to get one. The SoundSpa works fine, controls are not super intuitive, kind of like the old clock radios. My wife was hoping to wake up to the zen sound, but ended up just using her phone since we realized it will always be a beep alarm, just once you turn the alarm off it is the zen sound. We thought that we could have the zen sound be the alarm, but no. There is also no way to set the alarm to repeat only on weekdays which means that we will never use that feature despite it being something we looked forward to. Everything else works fine, having a diffuser with a timer is great, the light is cool even though it doesn't remember your last color choice so you have to wait for it to cycle each time you turn it on. Overall it's a decent product but considering the cost I would have expected some slightly more advanced alarm and light functions.

I had a problem with the power adapter; where it was plugged in a mirror fell on top of it and broke it. I had to re purchase the machine because I love the thunder and lightning to go to sleep. The only downside is I wish I could just purchase a power cord. But Homedics was actually cheaper than Kohls.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great features, just LOUD alarm I bought this is order to have a gentle awakening. It would be perfect if you could lower the volume. But on the lowest volume of 1, the sound is very loud! I called customer service, and they suggested maybe it was a flaw -return it and try a different one. I did that. Still very loud on setting 1. We ended up keeping the 2nd one and putting duct tape over a couple of the speaker holes. It helped. Loud "Zen" I guess still beats buzzers and land radio jockies.

I received this as a gift for Christmas (6 months ago), and it worked fine until a few days ago, when I noticed that it would cut off early before the reservoir was emptied.  Now, the diffuser iant working at all.  Does it need to be cleaned?  If so, how?

CLEANING AND CARE 1. Before cleaning the unit, turn the power off and make sure the adapter is unplugged from the diffuser and outlet. 2. Remove the outer cover from the base. Next, remove the inner cover. 3. Carefully pour any remaining water and essential oil out of the reservoir, from the drain side, opposite the air outlet. Be sure not to empty the reservoir near the air outlet in order to avoid malfunction. To Clean the Surface Clean the surface of your diffuser with a clean, damp, soft cloth as often as needed. To Clean the Reservoir and Ultrasonic Membrane We recommend wiping the reservoir with a clean, damp, soft cloth at least once every 2 weeks. NOTE: Depending on your usage, and the amount of essential oil you use, you may want to clean the reservoir and ultrasonic membrane more frequently for best performance. For the most thorough clean, pour a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water into the reservoir, then soak for five minutes. Brush reservoir walls, base, and ultrasonic membrane clean with a soft-bristle brush (not included) and rinse. NEVER touch the ultrasonic membrane with your fingers, as the natural oils in skin can damage the membrane. Clean the membrane once every two to three weeks, depending on your usage. Clean and dry the unit before extended periods of inactivity.

I thought this was a diffuser but don’t see any mist coming from it at all. Is this defective?

Mine does this as well! Not sure if it’s a defect or meant to be very light. I hardly smell anything even though I put 8 drops of oil

Just received my diffuser # a450. Says it comes with 3 sample oils. I only received 2. Also no instruction booklet. Tried to download but my model is not an option from the drop down section.
