Customer Reviews
Radiance Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Device is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I've used this about five times so far every other day. I have noticed my skin much smoother even after the first use. It took a couple times to get use to how to use the device but I find it pretty easy to use. All in all I am satisfied with how it performs and am hoping for even better results. I am 66 with light thin sensitive skin and had no problems with any irritation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gave my skin baby soft results I bought this not really knowing what to expect. I am 60 years old and have never had problem skin. Because I burn very easily I avoid long sun exposure and use a light sunscreen every day but my skin was feeling sluggish and a little rough. After just the first use my skin's texture revealed an immediate positive reaction. My skin is a little sensitive but this machine never irritated and I was immediately addicted to the softer more youthful feel. I give this product a triple AAA grade A rating.!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. I bought this because I needed to exfoliate and my husband won’t let me use the little hand sander. I just can’t afford to spend the money on spa treatments. I’ve always took care of my skin but was over treated for my type of breast cancer and in 6 months went from looking 40 to 90. I was 68. I’m not vain but was devastated. Supplements, pricey lotions and potions, smoothies..... 3 years later still look old. I’ve always had dry skin so always used something, sunblock, stayed out of the sun in the middle of the day, I’m the hat lady. Every day, even after using various types of exfoliants, I can sit there with s mirror and pull off little pieces of dry skin. I use the Clarisonic with “good” cleansers and moisturizers. This came in the mail yesterday. Let it charge all day. Last night I got my mirror, the tip for sensitive skin, went to town on those thick dry places. On level ONE. I worked on the wrinkled areas around my lips, especially the deeper ones on the sides that make you look like you’re frowning. It takes a little practice to get the tip level. I think I spent 5 minutes on those dry areas. I’d go to other places and kept coming back to those dry places. A little red but not down to raw skin. I could tell a huge difference right away. Had my vitamin C serum ready, researching and my doctor thought that a good idea. I think my face and neck drank in 3 weeks worth of that serum. I just kept layering until it seemed to get enough. Then slowly, over an hour, I layered the philosophy serum- twice- it sucked that right in, a thin moisturizer and finally a night cream with C. I figured the C was good for irritation. It wasn’t irritated although I could tell my skin felt “naked” in a good way. This morning my skin looks, feels so much better. Washed and reapplied my daytime serum and moisturizer. It’s a little pink in 2 spots but its very comfortable, it feels soft to my fingers, it just feels better generally. Now I need a tip with a smaller opening to work on the nose pores. Hard to get suction on a round surface. Also, I can’t seem to find a source for those filters. I saw that mentioned in reviews here and elsewhere. So where are more tips and filters? I’ve been using Homedic products for several years and have found their customer service to be the best. They can’t read minds so if there’s a problem you just call and they’ll fix it. I wrote that here because so many people will have a problem and write a nasty review without ever letting anyone who can fix the issue know. Love you guys. If this thing works as well as my other things from you, I should look 25 by summer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless device! Purchased and used the device: Find it totally useless. It has strong sucking action instead of true exfoliation, can cause redness, even bruising. Very disappointed and wasted my money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product but WHERE are the FILTERS???? I have used it twice with the sensitive abrasion head. OK both times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use; great results I bought this because it is rechargeable and I don't need to be tied to a wall outlet when I travel. It not only works better than expected, but MUCH better than another device I own that was 3x the price! I use it 3x/week, and after just one month, my skin is soft and my lines/wrinkles are less apparent.

Does this device actually use beads, or is it just the tip on the machine doing the work?

Asked by: kaiyha71
This does not use beads. The device has a salon grade diamond tip.

Just purchased the HoMedics Radiance microdermabrasion MDA-100 device, and so far, I can not find the black wool replacement filters. Are these filters 8mm or 9mm?

Asked by: BWBW
Yes, they are tiny black, round things tuat come in a small ziplock baggie. I just got my whole kit today. I cannot believe the lack of instructions that are in the booklet. At least they have a dozen languages covered though... LoL.

FAQs
  • Q: Is this painful to use?
    • A: Not at all. The Radiance Microdermabrasion feels like a light vacuum on your skin. This vacuum suction sweeps away all of the dead skin cells into the filter.
  • Q: How often can I use it?
    • A: You can use the Radiance Microdermabrasion 1-3 times per week on non-consecutive days. This allows the skin to have some downtime and renew.
  • Q: My skin is sensitive. Can I still use this?
    • A: Yes. If you feel your skin is sensitive, start using the Radiance Microdermabrasion on vacuum intensity 1 and use the sensitive skin tip. If you feel that your skin is still too sensitive after using it with these settings, check with your skin care professional for further guidance.
