Rated 5 out of 5 by from This unit I purchased for This unit I purchased for my 80 year old parents as a Valentine's Day gift so they can both check their blood pressure twice a day to help them stay home instead of rushing out the door to the doctor's or ER when they feel there's a problem. How easy, quick and compact to use and understand the features with this unit. They also like that their own individual bp numbers can be stored in the unit. I will also purchase one for myself just in case I may inherit high blood pressure as my parents. The cuff on wrist is perfect and practical. Plus the price is much cheaper than a local drugstore or medical supply place. Homedics has great products in many areas for a person's health.

What is the little circle with a P or some times a number in it ? Is in the upper left corner.

Asked by: Wanda
This monitor comes equipped with a Risk Category Index that automatically compares each reading to the defined levels and provides a helpful cue if your reading falls into one of the stages that could potentially indicate increased risk. There is a Risk Category table located on page 22 of the instruction book. Please note that cues provided by this monitor are only intended to assist you in using this table. The table and cues are only provided for convenience to help you understand your non-invasive blood pressure reading as it relates to the NIH information. They are not a substitute for a medical examination by your physician.
