TotalComfort® Humidifier Plus is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the line If you are unsure which humidifier to buy, i urge you let this 1 be the 1 you choose. Lightweight, not bulky. Works like a charm, and so easy to use! My last humidifier was old and moldy, this 1 is hightec and actually easy on the eyes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great...while it worked We got this for Christmas and loved it. It worked well. But after 7 months of use, it's leaking. We have hard water and we've used the cartridges to help. We tried cleaning it. We used hard water treatment to get any buildup off. But it's still leaking. It was such a great humidifier, but it's useless now that it's leaking. Way too expensive to only work 7 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter time I recieved the TotalComfort® Humidifier Plus for free to review. I have an older version of a Honeywell humidifier. This humidifier is quieter, more efficient and holds much more water. This one is also cool and warm mist. It is summer right now, so I have not been able to use it, but have total faith in Honeywell products. 2 thumbs up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great The Homedics total comfort humidifier plus works great. I like that it can be used as a cool mist are a warm mist. The dual tanks mean less refills and an 80 hour run time.. It is very quiet and the mist is visible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Look! I really liked the look of this unit and that it has hot and cold mist. It has a 1.4 gallon tank and can run for 65 hours although I have not let mine run that long. Not sure it could do it. When it's running, it's quiet and we don't notice it hardly at all running. I like that it has an auto shut off feature. Our house was built in 1880 and it's VERY dry so we have been using this in the dining room which is open to the living room and I can definitely feel a difference in moisture in the air. I've been very pleased with this so far and have used it every day since I received it. I definitely would recommend if you have a lot of dryness in your home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the family needed I had been looking for a good humidifier for months when I came across HoMedics TotalComfort Plus. I really like the warm and cool mist options so it should be suitable all year round. I also find it very easy to clean and maintain, and with the large dual tanks, it doesn't need constant refilling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Total comfort indeed This humidifier is so amazing. I've always only used a warm mist humidifier and it is quite brutal in the summertime. This humidifier allows me to switch between warm and cool mists and it makes the room a lot more comfortable. No need to buy two separate humidifiers. Thank you so much for your ingenuity!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps it moist We have been using this for two weeks now and the results are amazing. My daughters have severe dry skin and eczema, and using this at night has really helped clear it up. The dual tanks mean you don’t have to refill as often as most machines. Being able to choose warm or cool mist is a wonderful feature. I would definitely recommend.

How do you clean?

Asked by: ZanBurns
TO CLEAN THE TANK Remove the water tank from the humidifier base by lifting it from the main unit. Unscrew the tank cap and rinse inside the tank with clean water. To remove any scale or build up, use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and lukewarm water to clean the inside of the tank. TO CLEAN THE ULTRASONIC MEMBRANE Empty, rinse and dry the ultrasonic membrane and the reservoir before refilling. Pour a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water on the surface of the ultrasonic membrane and in the reservoir, then soak for five minutes. Brush clean with a soft-bristle brush and rinse. TO CLEAN THE SURFACE Clean the surface of the unit with a clean damp soft cloth as often as needed.

Hi, Will the tanks empty simultaneously? Or will one empty and then transfer to the other side?

Asked by: GerryR
Thank you for your question. The humidifier will empty one tank at a time.

Our unit turned off after emptying only one tank. The other tank/side was still completely full of water, and it still turned off. Can you advise?

Asked by: LisaE
Remove the water tank from the base and turn the tank upside down. Press and release the spring loaded valve in the center of the tank cap (it looks like a button) about 15 - 20 times. Reseat the tank onto the base of the humidifier. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact Consumer Relations at 1-800-466-3342 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST for assistance.

I own a warm & cool mist humidifier model UHE-WM70. It has an awful white film on it and on my hardwood floors.  Wiping it doesn't work.  How do I get it off my unit and hardwood floors, & how do I avoid getting it again in the future?

Asked by: Chicago Lady
Use of high mineral content hard water may cause a white mineral residue to accumulate on surfaces in the room near the humidifier. The mineral residue is commonly called “white dust.” The higher the mineral content (or, the harder your water is), the greater the potential for white dust. The white dust is not caused by a defect in the humidifier. It is caused only by minerals suspended in the water. We recommend cleaning the humidifier with a 50/50 vinegar and water solution. You may also want to consider switching to distilled water.
