My boyfriend bought it for me as a gift and the first one kept telling me that the water was low, when in fact it was full, so it kept auto shutting itself off. Now the most just stopped coming to the top and is now coming it’s the base part, making it really hot! I really liked this humidifier and the power it had, but it’s faulty and won’t be bought again.

We purchased a HoMedics Total Comfort Humidifier from Bed Bath Beyond. In the store the unit was whisper quiet with no motor or water dripping noises. Followed the instructions and plugged in the unit and much to my dismay. Whats Wrong? Help

Does it have a replaceable filter

The humidifier uses a replaceable demineralization cartridge. The demineralization cartridge is placed inside the water tank and should be replaced every 30 - 40 fillings of the water tank.

Do you clean the unit by adding the vinegar solution and turning on the machine. Misplaced the units guide

TO CLEAN THE TANK Remove the water tank from the humidifier base by lifting it from the main unit. Unscrew the tank cap and rinse inside the tank with clean water. To remove any scale or build up, use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and lukewarm water to clean the inside of the tank. TO CLEAN THE ULTRASONIC MEMBRANE Empty, rinse and dry the ultrasonic membrane and the reservoir before refilling. Pour a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water on the surface of the ultrasonic membrane and in the reservoir, then soak for five minutes. Brush clean with a soft-bristle brush and rinse. TO CLEAN THE SURFACE Clean the surface of the unit with a clean damp soft cloth as often as needed.

How can i get an instruction book for the UHE-OC 1A. Is there anything on the internet I can down load for parts.

I turn my humidifier on and all I get is a red light and it does not start misting at all. I left it on for 10 min on low and no mist at all during that time. Could it be a malfunction?!

How to clean the steam area

Use a 50/50 vinegar and water solution to clean the mist spout. You can also use a soft bristle, flexible brush or pipe cleaners to help remove any build up you may have.

I use your demineralization cartridge and replace it every 30 days there is a black film on the bottom of the tank and I can’t get in clean it. What can you suggest
