Rated 1 out of 5 by from Demineralization cartridge replacement unavailable Bought this 3 or 4 years ago for $70 at a Bed Bath & Beyond. Can't find demineralization cartridge HUM HDDC4 6CTM replacement anywhere. Not at Bed Bath & Beyond, now sold out on Amazon. Not cool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is my second one in 6 months, now need a 3rd. I love this humdifier because when it works it works. My boyfriend bought it for me as a gift and the first one kept telling me that the water was low, when in fact it was full, so it kept auto shutting itself off. Now the most just stopped coming to the top and is now coming it’s the base part, making it really hot! I really liked this humidifier and the power it had, but it’s faulty and won’t be bought again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Homerics UHE-HDC4 Love the humidifier it’s quite and we sleep better. However, an error or indication of a orobl m occurs - a red light comes on in the base/tank and we have tried everything to clear and fix. When the light comes out the humidifier is not working.

Why did my humidifier start showing a red lite

Asked by: Joan59
When the water in the tank is almost empty the red indicator light in the tank will turn on and the humidifying function will power off to indicate to the user to refill the tank.

Asked by: Paul Salmon
The demineralization cartridges have changed. The current demineralization cartridge is model number UHE-HDC4. This demineralization cartridge is placed inside the water tank. The demineralization cartridges are available at HoMedics.com and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

My unit is the one with no filter required. After using it for several days I noticed a pink slime build up in the base and also the place where the mist comes out. My machine came with no cleaning instructions. Are there cleaning instructions online?

Asked by: DianeL
You can download an instruction manual at HoMedics.com at the bottom of the page under the "SUPPORT" heading.

Should the oscillating nozzle be cleaned?  If so, how should this be done?

Asked by: bowers27
You can clean the oscillating nozzle with a 50/50 vinegar and water solution and a soft bristle brush. We recommend cleaning the humidifier about once a week to once every two weeks.
