FAQs

• What type of batteries should I use in my scale?

  AAA high-capacity alkaline (1100 mAh) batteries are recommended.

• How do I take a measurement?

  Ensure you’ve downloaded the app, set up your user profile, and connected your scale to the Homedics Scales app.
  
  Open the app and step on the scale.
  
  Stay on your scale until all 13 essential body measurements show on your app.

• Why is the ambient illumination not turning on? 

  Your scale's batteries may be dead.
  
  Click the light button to turn the lights on high, low or off.
  
  The ambient illumination only turns on when the scale detects motion within its proximity zone, or when a measurement is being taken.
  
  The scale’s lights will only stay on for 45 seconds at a time. Once the scale has detected motion for a continuous 45 seconds, the lights will turn off for 10 minutes and then start checking for motion again after the 10 minutes are up. 

• Why does my scale only show my weight?

  Make sure you have downloaded and connected your scale to the Homedics Scales app. Ensure you have entered your birthday, gender, and height into your user profile. This information is needed to calculate your 13 essential body measurements. Once this is done, your scale will display weight, BMI, and Body Fat percentage.

• Why is my measurement not showing up in the app?

  Make sure your app is open when taking a measurement. Stay on your scale until your app shows all 13 essential body measurements. 

• Can I delete a measurement in the app?

  Yes. To delete a measurement, open the app and click tracking from the bottom navigation bar. Next, click the clock icon in the top right corner. Click the date in which the measurement you want to delete was taken and then click the trash icon on the specific measurement you would like deleted. NOTE: Once a measurement is deleted, you will not be able to get it back.
