Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sound function Just bought this, but thought there was a timer to listen to sounds at night for 15, 30, 45 minutes? Don't see that this is possible? Is it?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficulty operating it when I hit the snooze button, the radio came on. also, it is difficult to set the alarm, especially the volume. I am going to return the item. I previously owned one that is similar to your 'soundspa', exepct your soundspa does not have an alarm on it. that is what I want. My previous alarm radio looked just like it but had an alarm on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Offers many great features!! I snore and my husband is a light sleeper (bad combination)! Honestly I couldn’t feel comfortable in the same bed without this wonderful SoundSpa. I use it on fan sound, volume 6. I tried out another brand which didn’t have the fan sound, and i’m So thankful HoMedics made this machine yipeeeee I’m a happy camper!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't live up to expectations I bought this for the dual alarms and, hopefully, a 'nap' setting but it doesn't perform as expected. The buttons are too close together thus, when I go to hit the snooze button, I sometimes hit the 'alarm1' and turn off the alarm, oversleeping in the process. Other times, it will reset and give me 9min more but generally, only one time. What I hoped was going to be a 'nap' setting turned out to require the radio being on, you set how long you want and when it was up, the radio turned off...if you are a heavy napper, you might miss the radio going off. I'll continue to use the clock, using 'alarm2' so I won't turn off the alarm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoying it! I love this white clock radio with nature sounds. The time projection feature is light blue and just enough, if you find it too much you can face it away. Mine is set to our local jazz station which softly wakes me. It’s a pleasure so far!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as the old SS-5000, and not reliable I used to own the SS-5000 and LOVED it! Until the projector began to dim after a couple of years. Everything else worked great. Really enjoyed the outdoor temperature sensor and readout on the clock and projector. However, this model had not held up as well and it lacked the outside temperature sensor. The first time (today) I tried to change the time for DST, the clock won't change...at all. And the battery backup doesn't work at all either. I unplugged the clock to test it and the time disappeared. When I plugged it back in the clock read 12:00 - obviously didn't save the time. I tested the battery and it read 'good charge'. I don't know what to do. I filed a support request telling them what I've described here, and hopefully they will replace it or give me credit toward a better - more reliable unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is junk! The VOLUME will not go low enough to be relaxing while I am resting. The ambient light is too bright at night. The buttons don't function consistently. The device has blared out music when not even being set for this! The antenna is fickle, then stopped working all together. I will not be buying another product from this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this projection clock/radio I bought my first Homedics projection clock around 2008. I loved it!!! Not only the projection on my ceiling, but the relaxing different sounds to lull you to sleep. My granddaughter always wanted to sleep with me and listen to the rain mode. My projection light quit functening a couple of years ago, but that was the only thing that did no longer work. Decided it was time to get a new one. Love the new one!!

I have the Homedics Sound Spa #ss-4520. The alarm is set and I can't turn it off permanently, I push a button and it goes off until the next morning, then it sounds again. How do I turn it off?

Asked by: motraveler
Thank you for your question. The alarm can not be permanently disabled. However, you can turn the alarm off by pressing and releasing either ALARM 1 or ALARM 2. You will see an alarm icon displayed on the screen if the alarm function is enabled. If you do not see an alarm icon on the screen, the alarm will not sound. Please contact Consumer Relations at 1-800-466-3342 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST if you need further assistance.

Can it be battery operated in case of a power failure?

Thank you for your question. The alarm clock is not battery operated. However, this alarm clock is equipped with a battery backup feature to keep the clock time and alarm settings during power outage.
