Customer Reviews
MyBaby SoundSpa Ultrasonic Humidifier is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to clean.. I got this as a baby shower gift by a friend who swears by this, & I dont understand why. We used it and everything seemed great but we have cleaned it, and replaced filters.. and followed all cleaning instructions & it gets mildew. The best part is that it claims it wont get mildew... now I use this as a sound machine, & cant be bothered to turn on the humidifier part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE, Does NOT work This humidifier is terrible and unreliable. We have had two different problems with the humidifier. It was replaced due to not blowing out air and now the sound is not working. We put my son to sleep with the humidifier on and in the middle of the night the volume randomly turned to another setting and blasted on full blast. It happened several different times. To top it off, customer service was not helpful and would not replace them machine, they only offered a 30% coupon which I declined because we will not be using this brand again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clean Tank Technology is Imaginary Despite cleaning regularly with vinegar as instructed in the manual, awful red mildew builds up quickly in base, and in the tank. Very frustrating because much of the mildew in in parts of the tank which cannot be scrubbed, like the tube in which the vapor is discharged from the machine. I strongly recommend that you purchase another vaporizer that can be cleaned thoroughly.

Q & A

How do you clean it? Mine has black spots everywhere inside the tank, it’s not even a year old!

Asked by: Shelly99
TO CLEAN THE TANK Remove the water tank from the humidifier base by lifting it from the main unit. Unscrew the tank cap and rinse inside the tank with clean water. To remove any scale or build up, use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and lukewarm water to clean the inside of the tank. TO CLEAN THE ULTRASONIC MEMBRANE Empty, rinse and dry the ultrasonic membrane and the reservoir before refilling. Pour a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water on the surface of the ultrasonic membrane and in the reservoir, then soak for five minutes. Brush clean with a soft-bristle brush and rinse. TO CLEAN THE SURFACE Clean the surface of the unit with a clean damp soft cloth as often as needed.

Do you have intructions on how to fill this? There is either a major design flaw or I am completely incompetent. There is no way to fill this without water coming out of the top, bottom or sides.

Grasp tank handle and lift up from humidifier base. Turn the tank upside down—remove the tank cap by turning it counter-clockwise.Fill the water tank with clean, cool (not cold) water. We recommend using distilled water if you live in a hard water area.Replace the tank cap by turning clockwise until tight.

Hello,  I purchased the HoMedics® myBaby® Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifer with Soundspa® 3 wks ago.  1wk ago I started seeing white flacks  and buildup in the machine.  And it has not been 30/40 refills.,,Recommendations please

Asked by: Tracey
The HoMedics demineralization cartridge will help reduce the potential for white dust, a deposit of minerals left behind from using hard water in your humidifier. The cartridge should be replaced every 30 – 40 fillings. The cartridge may need to be replaced more often if you are using very hard water. Replace the cartridge when you notice an increase in white dust build-up. If white dust still forms around the humidifier after a new cartridge has been installed, consider using distilled water.

Is the round cartridge in the base a filter that needs to be replaced? If so please provide a link to purchase replacements.

Asked by: Nailz79
The demineralization cartridge can be purchased at HoMedics.com or at Bed, Bath and Beyond. The model number of the replacement demineralization cartridge is UHE-HDC4. This cartridge is placed inside the water tank.

How do you clean the inner tube in the tank? Even after soaking it in water and vinegar there are still spots of mold.

Asked by: Laveas
We recommend using a soft bristle brush, such as a toothbrush or flexible bottle brush, and a 50/50 vinegar and water solution to remove any residue from the tank.
