Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I purchased this for my husband to use in his den in his chair to replace the one he currently has. One of the areas on his just makes a horrible noise but it still vibrates on his back where he needs it. He does not like massagers. I was very disappointed to find that this could not be used plugged in in the house. I gave it to our daughter to use in her car.

can it be plugged into an outlet

No. The Mobile Travel Cushion does not have a wall adapter to plug into an outlet. It does come with an 12 volt auto adapter that plugs into your vehicles 12V DC outlet.

Is there an auto shut-off and after how many minutes.  How long before it can be turned on again?

There is an automatic shut off function after 15 minutes of use. We recommend allowing the motor of the massager to cool for approximately 30 - 45 minutes before turning is on again.
