Advanced Features

User friendly and easy to care for

Over-complicated humidifiers can make for a stressful user experience. The Total Comfort™ Portable Humidifier has a simple easy-to-use design and a straight forward care and cleaning process.

To adjust the mist output simply turn the on/off power/mist knob clockwise to increase the mist output, or counter clockwise to decrease it. The auto-shut off feature will kick in once the bottle is empty.

Cleaning your humidifier keeps it in working order. The humidifier reservoir should be cleaned every 2-3 weeks. Simply remove the water bottle mount and top cover, then wipe out the reservoir with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water.


Overnight runtime and capacity

Set up and forget it for the whole night. A single 20 oz. or less water or soda bottle provides up to 9 hours of runtime. Make sure you use a sturdy plastic water bottle to help prevent leaking.


Tips and tricks to keep spilling to a minimum

  • Make sure to gently twist the gray water bottle mount onto your bottle before attaching it to the unit
  • Do not squeeze the water bottle at any time
  • Check that the reservoir is empty before attaching the bottle
  • Only use water bottles with a long neck, similar to a 20 oz. or less sturdy water or soda bottle--if the neck is too short, it may overflow
  • Do not move the humidifier once the bottle is attached
  • Keep the humidifier on a level surface. Use extension feet on bottom of unit for extra stability

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment!!! I bought this item on Friday; I opened it on the next day, Saturday, to use it. It started to work and a few minutes later, less than 5 minutes, when I looked at it, I noticed no mist. So I turned it off and looked inside the reservoir. It was full of water and leaking. I reread my instructions and reassembled the water bottle to see if that was the problem. It still leaked. I believe the problem is when the water bottle rests upon the base, the spring inside the water bottle mount opens completely up and all the water empties into the reservoir. I would no recommend this product until the problem is fixed. Otherwise I believe it would be the ideal personal portable humidifier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great personal humidifier for desk I gave it 1 star about 2 months ago due to water leak. Customer service contacted me and replaced a new one. I must say I need to give it 5 star now. The new one does not leak one drop, it is compact and effective. Steam faces me on my desk, my eyes feel very comfortable with this humidifier on. I use it everyday in office. Just bought another one for my husband and plan to buy again for my home office

No matter what I do to adjust power/location, etc., or what bottle I use (tried about 5 versions), after the first use it leaks all over my furniture. If the bottle is the issue, here's an idea sell it with the humidifier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless - lost money on defective product I bought this over a month ago, right before a multi-week trip. I set it up the first night and woke up to find it had the same amount of water as before. The unit is on, the blue light is on, I can feel air, but there is no vapor coming out. I brought it to the office where I can watch it. Occasionally vapor will come out for a few minutes, or will come out in puffs. I have to squeeze the bottle to get more water into the tank and even when the tank is full the vapor is unreliable at best. I would return except my trip lasted longer than the Target return policy. Lost money with nothing to show.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Initially great, then leaky - awaiting replacement I got this for Christmas, but only started using it February 1. It worked great initially, but then started to leak out the entire bottle of water with no cause. I am very fond of this product and contacted Customer Service for a warranty replacement. They were GREAT at listening to the issue and offering me a free replacement. Totally willing to give this another chance. I HOPE it works well, because this little thing is a gang-buster for its size. I would recommend it with the understanding that IF it malfunctions, you should contact the company for a replacement within the warranty period.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works great. I don't know what people are complaining about. If you are literate, then read the manual and do as follows, it is a great product, works perfect. Just clean it with vinegar every 3 weeks like the instruction says and you won't have any problem,

Does this model turn on immediately when plugged into a power source or does it have a power switch?

We do not recommend using this product with a convertor. The humidifier needs to be plugged into a 120 volt household outlet.

I have the Homedics travel humidifier and I really like it but the piece that screws in a water bottle got broken and the ball doesn't stay in now. How/where can I buy a replacement part for just the screw on piece?

I have had an issue where the unit leaks out and soaks the table I leave it on .. this worked great first 3 months when I traveled but now is leaking bottle out all over in under an hour . I have emptied reservoir as recommended and made sure securely.
