Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this humidifier I bought this 5 years ago. We heat with wood and it gets very dry here. This has raised our humidity to 45% and it's much more comfortable now. It's silent and works great. I will buy another. This year I will clean it thoroughly, it has started making a humming noise at startup. We use reverse osmosis water, but after 5 years I will use a q-tip and clean thoroughly before I store it for the summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great I have had this humidifier for a couple of years.It works great. I only use the cool mist now but it has raised the humidity in my huge bedroom to 49% from 17%. I am going to buy another one for my living room. This is the best humidifier I have ever owned.

My husband bought this, have no idea where the book is! How do you fill?

Grasp tank handle and lift up from humidifier base.Turn the tank upside down—remove the tank cap by turning it counter-clockwise. Fill the water tank with clean, cool (not cold) water. We recommend using distilled water if you live in a hard water area. Replace the tank cap by turning clockwise until tight. Install the tank back on the base of the unit. Make sure the tank is firmly seated.

I have this model but can not get it to heat the water for warm mist. I can't find the manual.

When using the warm mist setting, you will feel a small temperature difference at the mist spout. The cloud of mist may still feel cool as the mist interacts with the air in the room. You may feel an increase of warmth in the room the humidifier is located in. The warm setting will not produce a mist as warm as a vaporizer mist.

unit makes so much noise it is totally unusable and cleaning does not help. you replaced one under warranty but it is same noisy condition at times.

My humidifier keeps turning off. It appears that the water from the tank is not refilling the humidifier (if that makes sense). How do I fix this?

Remove the water tank from the base and turn the tank upside down. Press and release the spring loaded valve in the center of the tank cap (it looks like a button) about 15 - 20 times. Reseat the tank onto the base of the humidifier. If this does not resolve the issue, please return the humidifier to the place of purchase for a replacement or contact Consumer Relations at 1-800-466-3342 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST for assistance.

The humidifier says "LO" on the display all the time even after refilling and cleaning and after awhile shuts off on its own, even if the timer is set. Any ideas why this could be happening?
