Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible smell and cannot add disinfectanct I bought this from Lowe's and really wanted to like it. The problem is that HoMedics restriction in the manual not to add any additive to the water also prevents you from adding disinfectant. Without disinfectant the interior grows a smelly bacteria. The whole unit stinks. Other similar products let you add a water treatment and bacteriostatic to the tank. I am returning it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Clean" warning light & Others This was purchased from Costco in 11/2018. I had to return one from last year to Costco as it stopped working this year. Great thing about Costco is that they will take anything back even year later with or without box or receipt. Well, the new model has a new warning indicator that was not present in the 2017 model. It is the "CLEAN" that lit up a week after use. I use distilled water exclusively to avoid "white dust". Problem is, how do you reset this light? There is nothing in the manual. I cleaned the base of the transducer per manual (50/50 water vinegar), but the "CLEAN" light is still on. You'd think the manufacturer would update the manual once the product receives an enhancement? Well, I figured it out, intuitively.. Ha ha.. I held the ON/OFF button for over 5 seconds and the CLEAN light went away. Most electronic products seems to employ this kind of tactics to reset, so I applied it and viola !! But the Manual should have something in the book....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible no points. this machine did not work right out of the box. Only one tank empties. when first tank is empty it will not switch to the other tank. Only runs for about 30 min and then have to turn it on again. After only running it for 3 days the clean light came on. I got it from Costco and unfortunately the box already went out the the recycle. I guess I will find out if Costco will take it back without the original box. had an old single tank humidifier for 4 years and I now wish I had not replaced it with this one. And I have been on hold to get help from Homedics help line for 41 min and 18 secs!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Zero aroma from essential oils. I bought my machine from Costco ~ a month ago. Big Issue for me: I can’t smell the esencial oil! I tried doubling the amount of drops, bought a new bottle of eucalyptus oil and NOTHING!! No aroma :( the cheaply 30 dolled one I bought from TJMaxx works way better to defuse aroma which helps clear my sinuses. Consider returning it.

I should be able to use the Humidistat to control output, however when I press the button for that function and attempt to set that the number flashes and then the unit returns to the numeric 1 through 5 value, is this the expected behavior?

The problem is that what the controls do does not match what it says on page 6 of the manual. This is why I asked the question.

The display constantly shows the Mist Output Level. How to switch display to show Current Humidity or Programmed Humidity?

Thank you for your question, to view and change the Programmable Humidistat, press the Humidistat button (cloud with rain) on the unit. Instructions for programing the Humidistat can be found on page 6 of the user manual.

After first cleaning can’t adjust any more humidity level... showing CO%... What should I do? Thanks

To program the humidity level, press the Humidistat Button. Then press the + / - Button. The humidity level will increase / decrease by 5% every time the + / - Button is pressed and will show on the display screen. Keep pressing the + / - Button until the desired programmable humidity setting is reached. The display will show the set humidity level for 5 seconds, then default back to display the mist output level. If you need further assistance please contact Consumer Relations at 1-800-466-3342.
