Love it! Review by rhein
Overall How bizarre - I was sitting looking at a cushion back massager on a site while I was looking for christmas presents for my son. My partner had gone out to get some shopping - I'm 3 months pregnant so a very fussy eater. Anyway, he came back in, and lo and behold - this is what he had with him!! I couldn't believe it. It works sooo well.. It advises against using whilst pregnant, but as I'm not too big but past the early stage - I used a towel so it was a more gentle massage - it was fantastic as I've been so achy from bad support in bed, sitting at a PC for 8 hours a day at work and also general pregnancy aches and pains... Gets upper shoulders too. Review by Ahhh
Overall I love this product. It's one of the only ones that gets my shoulders properly. It reaches, it rolls out the tension (instead of counter productively vibrating), it uses enough pressure, and that's just for the shoulders! Works well on entire back.Unfortunately after about 2 years one day it just got stuck and doesn't work for some reason. The price was worth it for the 2 years though and I'm going to buy a replacement. I've tried all similar products and nothing works on the shoulders; not even my parent's good [$] chair. It's perfect for those in-between massage appointments, when you're unexpectedly tense and just need relief! Good Product, Great Price!! Review by MMA
Overall I received this as an early X-mas gift. It was easy to set up and start using. So far it works great and gives a deep kneading massage. I would highly recommend this at this time. (Posted on 6/3/08)

This thing is great!! Review by JTH
Overall I was given the Therapist Select for Christmas 2006. This thing has been put through its paces for over a year and is still going strong, so I am convinced that Homedics builds products to last.
We just pulled our massager out of its easy access storage place in the front of our closet to help my father, who suffers from arthritis of the spine -- too many years of flipping around on the judo mats. He can't get enough of it and now wants one of his own.
I work a desk job and regularly spend tension-filled days and nights trying to get a newsletter, magazine, article, blog post, or something similar prepared and off to a publisher. Sitting hunched over a computer keyboard for hours on end gets a bit hard on your back and shoulders and this product has been a life saver, working out kinks and knots faster than stress can create them.
I also try to stay in shape by using my home gym. When I overdo something, the Shiatsu massager is always there, ready to work through the tense and stiff muscles.
My wife loves the massager as well as she has been in car accidents and has regular problems with her back and shoulders. This product has helped to keep her mobile and ahead of our three young kids.
If I can point out any failings in this product, they are that it works so well, you can actually overdo it and wake up the next day tender from the kneading. Also, the upper back feature doesn't go all the way up, so you need to scoot your lower back away from the chair and lean back in to get your upper shoulders and trapezius muscles.
Despite those failings (which I see have been addressed by other products on this website), I highly recommend this product. It is affordable, easy to use, very effective, and extremely durable. You can't go wrong with it. (Posted on 6/3/08)
