I had a cuff spectrophotometer that was at least 15 years old, so I needed a new one. Technology has changed so much since then, I thought that I would upgrade to the wrist variety. This has so many great functions and is very easy to use. Just place it on and press the button. I work in a hospital, so I made sure to test its accuracy with the ones there, so I can attest that it is accurate as well. The most important feature to me, which I don't think is in the product description, is the case.
