Rated 2 out of 5 by from Descent humidifier, but poorly designed Initially the humidifier worked great...that is until I discovered the mold build up. Getting it clean is a challenging project as there are many difficult to reach nooks and crannys. There is no way to access the “up tube”, for lack of a better term, to scrub it so you have no idea how much build up has occurred. After trying the vinegar cleaning solution, which only cleans the base area, I had to completely disassemble the unit to gain access to the parts that needed cleaning. The whole issue could be eliminated with one design change. Make the small panel, see attached picture, removable from the back to allow access to the entire mist path.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from HoMedics Total Comfort Ultrasonic Humidifier Warm and cool mist model UHE-WM 350 This product produces a smell no matter how many times I clean it with vinegar and water. There is also a pinkish slimy deposit where transducer is located. It is extremely difficult to clean due ti placement and screw holders. I have to take it apart every day to clean it and keep the odor to a minimum. A normal Q-tip does not quite reach the center which gets a gray deposit. I use distilled water. It does keep the humidity level and the night light is a pleasant touch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can not set the tank down to fill This is a fine humidifier. Works well and has variable settings. My only complaint is that the top of the water tank is rounded so when you are filling it through the bottom you Can Not set the tank down in the sink. I have smaller hands, so I am not able to fill the tank to the top while holding it with one hand and turning the faucet with the other hand. This seems like such an obvious design flaw. It is no problem for my husband who has a larger build.

Many products don't quite meet your expectations or live up to the performance benefits listed in their promotional materials. This one does. With the warm mist feature turned on and the unit running at its highest setting, the warm mist it produces is completely absorbed into the surrounding air without any moisture settling on furniture or flooring which remain completely dry. The twin tanks, each, actually take a full gallon of distilled water and can be refilled easily while the unit continues to operate. The ability to set the desired humidity level works perfectly and keeps our room air at a comfortable level. The unit is quiet and compact. The design is attractive and unobtrusive in any setting. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed. I bought one from Costco. One tank would empty maybe a little over 3/4 of the tank. It would not take water at all from the other tank. I called HoMedics and the lady was not helpful at all. I contacted Costco and they shipped me a new one. This one empties most of one tank about 1/3 of the other before it quits. I have it in a large space yet I cannot turn it to level 2 or it shuts done within minutes. Last time I tried I couldn't get it to work for almost 2 days. I do love that it is so quiet and you have the pad for the essential oils. I am disappointed that it doesn't make use of the tanks and has be be filled more than it should. Also the tanks are hard to fill because you cannot set them upside down in order to fill them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Review I was given this as a gift, works great for it's purpose and introducing moisture into the room. The features are awesome, used the aroma and did not think I would like it, however I was wrong and great touch. Issues are the tanks, awkward shape when filling them up and makes it very difficult to handle and hold. Already broke one as it slipped flipping it back over. Makes no sense on this design!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WM-350 Just purchased and it appears identical to the WM-250. I'm very pleased with the strength and coverage of the mist flow. However, the Warm mist function is so weak it's of no value in my opinion. One inch out of the discharge and the mist has already cooled. As for as I can tell, the machine does not have an oscillating head, either, If the Warm function is of no value to you, then I'd recommend it. Better yet is to buy one of the lesser expensive machines that does not a Warm mist function.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very glitchy There is some kind of balancer in this machine that doesn't allow it to work unless its at a certain level, however mine only works when I put a book under it in the front, and then its leaning back and not level. Have had problems with this brand before, and this will be the second one I've returned to Costco for not working properly. Continuous run does not work, keeps going off through the night and then making a clicking sound and I have to get up and just turn it off. Not impressed.

The water keeps stopping. We need to lift one side up to get the water to fill the basin again. What can we do?

Please remove your tank from the unit, flip the tank over so the cap on the tank is facing the ceiling. Press on the center of the cap where you see the spring about 15-20 times, this will loosen the spring and should allow water to flow.

i have a warm and cool double tank humidifier and it for last three months has been working well, i just cleaned it by rinsing the water in bottom and removed scales and dirty water,, i put it back on and now does not work,  what should i do ,, thanks
