Will this unit play my iPod shuffle?
Yes, it will play using the auxiliary jack located on the back of the unit. An auxiliary cable is provided.
Is this unit compatible with the new iPod Nano?
Yes. Unfortunately, most units did not ship in time to have a compatible insert. You can now order them online through our website here or feel free to contact our Customer Service team.
Why won't my iPod play through the unit?
If you're having difficulty getting your iPod to play correctly, you should check the following:
-Is the unit plugged in to the outlet?
-Is the iPod properly docked? (the blue light should be illuminated)
-Is the 'audio' button on 'iPod'?
-Is the volume on the unit turned up?
-Is the iPod on 'play'?
Can alarm 1 & 2 wake-up to different alarm modes?
No, waking to different alarm modes is not a function of the SS-7000.
Is this compatible with mp3 players other than the Apple iPod?
Yes. With the provided connector cord, other mp3 players (and any other device with a standard headphone jack) will play through the auxiliary jack located on the back of the unit
How do I turn the alarm off so that it does not turn on the next day?
Simply slide the 'alarm' switch on the back of the unit to the 'off' position.
How does the nap function work?
When the power is off, press the 'nap' button to set the alarm to wake you after a 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute nap without changing the alarm settings.
What is the 'audio' button for?
This button toggles between the various sources: Auxiliary, iPod or radio.
Why was my clock not set to the correct time when I plugged it in?
Occasionally, the lithium battery loses connection during shipment. Please follow the 'setting clock time' on page 7 of the instruction manual.
What number is associated with the time zone I am in?

Yes, use the 'hi/lo' dimmer button on the back of the unit to adjust the LCD backlight intensity.

No, the lithium battery included is to keep the clock running during a power outage.
How long will the battery last?
This will vary depending on the number of power outages.
Can I plug headphones into this?
No, this unit was not designed to be used with headphones.
